Golf Monthly has reported on the recent Augusta National, which it described as "one of the most captivating Masters of recent times".

The tournament marked the comeback of disgraced world number one Tiger Woods to golf following the scandals which rocked his personal and professional life.

While the star enjoyed a relatively positive reception, he was denied a dream victory on his return by winner Phil Mickelson, who took the green jacket for the third time in his career.

Woods finished a respectable joint fourth with Korean KJ Choi, but may have been pleased to hear fans cheering him once more following a tough start to 2010.

Mickleson's closest rival at the competition was Brit Lee Westwood, who scored 37 on the front nine, allowing the eventual winner to take the lead going into the final nine holes.

Westwood may be disappointed at his failure to take the title - after finishing in the top three of each of the four Major tournaments since the US Open of 2008, he may well feel his time for a victory has come.
Meanwhile, Golf Monthly also recently published its Volvo China Open preview.
