Anyone in need of a good cry this year, might want to grab their Easy Living magazine subscription and check out some of the best weepie movies.
Easy Living magazine has picked chick-flick classic The Notebook as one of the first choices. The 2004 film is called a "modern classic weepie" by the mag.
It stars heartthrob Ryan Gosling alongside the beautiful Rachel McAdams and is a true tear-jerker.
Eighties heart-wrenching movie Beaches also makes the Easy Living magazine list. It tells the tale of a "rollercoaster of a friendship", which comes to a tearful end.
A chance meeting sets the stage for 1945's Brief Encounter, which encompasses "impossible love [and] the strictures of English decorum".
Also featuring in the top weepies are Cinema Paradiso, An Affair to Remember, The Bridges of Madison County and My Sister's Keeper, among others.
So if you fancy a good cry, Easy Living magazine suggests trying these films out for size.
