Cotswold Life subscription holders may be interested to learn that the publication has won a major international award.
It scooped the best consumer-based magazine at a US award ceremony in Arizona, holdthefrontpage.co.uk revealed.
Editor Mike Lowe explained that he was "delighted" at the recognition from across the pond and that the reward was a reflection of the efforts of his team.
The magazine is owned by Archant Life, which recruited Mr Lowe in 2006, and group commercial director Tim Thurston seconded his opinion.
"We know in the Cotswolds how well regarded our superb magazine is, international recognition is wonderful and a testament to the great team we have working on the title," he told the online resource.
The magazine enjoyed a successful 2009, with sales figures boosted by four per cent across the course of the year.
The Cotswolds is a region of the UK known for its sleepy villages, gentle hills and its quintessential Englishness.
