Florence Welch rocks 70s chic in Vogue

Florence Welch graces the cover of the January issue of Vogue.

Have you seen the latest issue of Vogue yet? We’ve had the January issue of our Vogue magazine subscription in the office for a few days now and we’ve all commented on how different Florence Welch looks on the front cover.

Wearing an ice blue Chloe dress, with her copper hair looking especially voluminous, she could easily have slotted into an episode of Charlie’s Angels.

In the beautiful photo shoot in the magazine itself – shot by Mr Mario Testino – Florence looks her usual ethereal self. Talking to Vogue’s Richard Godwin in Paris, Florence talks about Paris Fashion Week, believing she was a mermaid as a child and her own personal style.

On meeting Chanel’s head designer Karl Lagerfeld, she says: “He was holding my hand and he was like, ‘Ah, you’ff got zuch fantastic zkin, zere’s not a pore on your face!’.” High praise indeed.

With her own style, Florence has always rocked the ‘70s/’30s/hippy look (we know it’s a vague description, but she’s a real one-off) and she makes it look pretty effortless. When Godwin comments on her outfit at their interview, Welch jokes, “It’s just something I threw together!”.

If you want to catch up with the rest of the interview in Vogue magazine, be sure to check out the January issue. Or you can always subscribe and save on a Vogue magazine subscription today.
