Beanotown comes to Southbank!

If you're a big Bean fan, head to London's Southbank to chech out the Beanoland exhibition.

2013 marks The Beano’s 75th in publication and we’re sure those of you with a subscription to the comic are excited to see what special treats are headed your way in celebration of the momentous occasion.

Part of the celebration is a recreation of Beanotown at the Southbank Centre’s Festival of Neighbourhood in London, where the characters’ home will come to life.

There will be an exhibition showing never-before-seen illustrations from David Sutherland, Dennis and Gnasher’s iPrank app will be free to download and your children can even head to The Beano Social Club to play a spot of Table Dennis or create their own masterpiece in The Beano Studio.

The Beano Editor-in-Chief Mike Stirling said, “It’s a dream come true to see Beanotown coming to life at Southbank Centre. For me, the coolest thing is that, along with the depths of the oceans and some parts of the rainforest, Beanotown was the last great uncharted territory on earth – I feel like Christopher Columbus! If you think you know The Beano then think again… this exhibition provides all the anarchic fun of The Beano but with lots of added extras.”
