Music fans with an NME magazine subscription can read about the prospect of Arcade Fire playing new material at their gig in London's Hyde Park.
The band have already started work on their next offering and they may well give fans a sneak preview when they head to the capital in June.
"For the last couple [of] months we've been practising, playing around and doing demos," Will Butler told NME magazine. "Nothing formal, but we have been having a kind of creative session."
Speaking about whether they'll play new songs in London, Butler said the problem is "it is a lot harder to play new stuff because the person at the back doesn't get gripped when they hear it".
But he added they "are definitely considering it".
Arcade Fire's London gig will be the only date they play in the UK this year.
The band will be touring Europe this summer, with gigs in France, Italy and Germany.
