The first details have been released about the Queen’s 90th birthday celebratory event taking place between the 12th and 15th of May in Home Park, Windsor. The main attraction will be a horse show with 600 fine equine specimens and 1500 performers from all corners of the Commonwealth, including, among others, Canada, New Zealand and Fiji.
The daily 90-minute show will pay tribute to some of the Queen’s most cherished memories during her reign, and she will be attending the last night of the event with other members of the Royal Family. Also confirmed to appear is Welsh opera singer Katherine Jenkins, who will be on hand to help announce the event.
The Queen is already the longest-living British monarch having surpassed the record set by Queen Victoria, who was 81 years, seven months and 29 days old at the time of her death in 1901. In September this year, the Queen will also break her great grandmother’s record as longest-serving British monarch.
“We’ve been working hard to make this a most unique birthday celebration,” Simon Brooks-Ward, 
producer and director for the Windsor Castle celebrations told The Telegraph, adding that the show was meant to “celebrate a truly remarkable life.”
Tickets for the first three nights will be priced between £55 and £165, while four day tickets will cost between £75 and £195. All proceeds will be donated to the Queen’s various charitable organisations.
