Added detail about why Kate Winslet decided to separate from husband Sam Mendes can be found in the latest issue of Star Magazine.
A joint statement revealed last month that the pair had decided to go their separate ways, with the filming of Revolutionary Road suggested by some reports as the cause of numerous arguments between the pair.
The statement read: "The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children."
However, Star Magazine claims to have the truth on why Miss Winslet decided to walk out on her husband after seven years of marriage.
Meanwhile, the pair were recently seen living up to their word as together they took six-year-old son Joe and nine-year-old Mia, Miss Winslet's daughter with former husband Jim Threapleton, to school in New York.
Mr Mendes was the director and one of the producers for the film Revolutionary Road, with Miss Winslet taking one of the starring roles alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
