Coming in third place is the John Lewis 'always a woman' advert. Campaign magazine said it received a massive amount of media coverage and even convinced wannabe mums "to queue in-store to get close to the fridge featured in the ad because they thought it would enhance their fertility".

Nike's 'write the future' ad comes in second place on the Campaign magazine list. It is praised for its "entertainment value" and managed to beat its competitors as many millions turned to YouTube to watch it.

And, in first place is the Ikea advert - 'you'll always find me in the kitchen at parties'. Created by marketing agency Mother, according to Campaign magazine it has proved "anything is possible" when it comes to the advertising world of flat-pack furniture.

According to the Retail Gazette, Ikea has managed to grow its market share, despite the home and furniture markets shrinking around the world.
