Cereal brand Weetabix 'reviewing ad account'

People interested in advertising who have a Campaign magazine subscription can read how cereal brand Weetabix is reviewing its marketing account.

The statutory assessment of its £10 million account is being dealt with by Oystercatchers and it will be held in February.

WCRS, the current agency on the account, will have to repitch to win it again, reports Campaign magazine.

Marketing director at the Weetabix Food Company Sally Abbott said: "It is Weetabix policy to review our suppliers periodically, and, after five years of working with WCRS, a statutory review gives us the chance to see what else is happening in the marketplace," reports the magazine.

The last ad by Weetabix was launched in September and it featured a range of household pets, promoting the brand's chocolate variety of the cereal.

Weetabix has a whole host of cereals aside from its signature brand, including Alpen, Crunchy Bran and Ready Brek.
