Andrew Flintoff fronts Morrisons ads

The supermarket has launched a new TV advertisement featuring England cricketer Andrew 'Freddie' Flintoff.

Called Let's Celebrate, it was launched at the weekend and lasts 60 seconds in total.

It was created by DLKW Lowe and was written by Tom Hudson and Lee Goulding, reports Campaign magazine.

The ad features schoolchildren from previous Morrisons promotions and unites them with the cricketing legend.

Flintoff and the children aim to lift the spirits of the nation ahead of the two long bank holiday weekends in April.

Head of advertising and media at Morrisons Richard Burgess reportedly said: "For Morrisons, Freddie was the perfect candidate - he epitomises the feel good and upbeat nature of the campaign."

Preston-born Flintoff is one of the most revered cricketers of his generation in both national and international realms, making his Test debut at the tender age of 20, back in 1998.
