Following a difficult 12 months, actress Amber Heard has called time on her marriage to Pirates of the Caribbean superstar Johnny Depp. The pair met in 2011 on the set of The Rum Diary and Depp, 52 has been unusually outspoken about his love for the 30-year-old beauty.
The pair have courted plenty of controversy in the past year, what with the saga of their rumoured dog smuggling into Australia which culminated in Heard pleading guilty to one count of falsifying border protection documents and a very awkward apology video from the couple.
For Depp, who is currently promoting Alice Through the Looking Glass, it has been a particularly bad week having lost his mother Betty Sue Palmer to a long illness on May 20th.
Celebrity news website TMZ reported that Depp had asked a judge to reject Heard's claim for spousal support.
