Chivalrous Bruce Springsteen Helps Out Chilly Adele

The Boss proved he’s also a gent when he gave his jacket to a chilly Adele at Lisbon gig.

When superstar Adele showed up to Bruce Springsteen’s outdoor Rock in Rio gig in Lisbon, Portugal last week wearing a skimpy outfit, the rock legend was a true gentleman and insisted the Hello singer wear his jacket.

“I was wearing a ridiculous skirt, which was silly. It gets quite windy in Lisbon. I had a little thin jumper on, and Bruce came out and said: ‘You’re going to be cold,’” Adele told fans at her own concert over the weekend. “I was a bit drunk, I’d had four glasses of wine, so I said I’d be fine.”

But The Boss, being the legend and gentleman he is, wouldn’t take no for an answer and Adele accepted his kind offer, sort of…

"He gave me his coat – so I was watching the show, wearing his coat," Adele said. "I was too embarrassed to try to put my arms in because, obviously, too small. So I just wore it on my shoulders."

Considering the summery reggae inflections of Adele’s new single Send My Love (To Your New Lover) which she premiered at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards, it’s no wonder she can't feel the cold.
