Emily Ratajkowski Shares Her ‘Unique Message’ to Harper's Bazaar Australia

The Blurred Lines star explains why she refuses to back down over vicious trolls who attack her overt sexuality.

Despite being best-known for her stunning figure, Emily Ratajkowski reveals that she sometimes receives backlash for being ‘too sexy’, saying it can actually have a negative effect on her career.

"There's this thing that happens to me: 'Oh, she's too sexy'," Emily told Harper’s Bazaar Australia. "It's like an anti-woman thing, that people don't want to work with me because my boobs are too big. What's wrong with boobs? They're a beautiful feminine thing that needs to be celebrated. Like, who cares? They are great big, they are great small. Why should that be an issue?"

In the candid interview, the model turned actress explains her decision to remain to remain defiant in the face of the criticism, instead sticking to her "unique message" of using her sexuality as a tool to promote feminism - and her unapologetic belief that two things shouldn't be considered mutually exclusive.

She also spoke out about the unkind responses she receives on social media over her more explicit snaps, like the one of her and Kim Kardashian topless, declaring: "I have no problem with the backlash, because I feel it illustrates my point over and over."
