Lisa Faulkner Eastenders’ Character Unveiled

First look at Fi Browning who is set to ruffle feathers in Albert Square.

Eastenders have given fans a first look at Lisa Faulkner’s mysterious character, who is set to land on the square next week. In the images released by the BBC, Fi Browning looks like she means business as she strides down the street wearing a white shirt, grey jumper and pink overcoat.

Executive producer Sean O'Connor said that he was thrilled to have tempted the Celebrity Masterchef winner back to the BBC, adding: "She’s an extremely accomplished and hugely popular actress and we’re very excited to have her in Albert Square.

“Fi Browning is something of a departure for EastEnders; a no-nonsense but sophisticated business woman with strength and vulnerability. But does she have an agenda? And who - or what- has she set her sights on?”

Speaking on Lorraine on March, Lisa admitted that the call for the role came “completely out of the blue”.

"The producers phoned up and asked if I could go and meet them and I met Sean the producer and Julie the casting director. He just sold this character to me, he was very good at pitching this great character and the show,” she said, adding: “She’s a great character so I’m looking forward to playing her.”

Fi's big arrival will air on April 27 at 7.30pm on BBC One
