Are You Ready For The Love Actually Sequel?

The wait is almost over…

Richard Curtis ' Love Actually returns to our screens tonight with a star-studded10-minute sequel in aid of Comic Relief.

Hugh Grant, Keira Knightley and Colin Firth will all be reprising their roles, as will those iconic message boards held by The Walking Dead’s Andrew Lincoln. Set fourteen years after the original film this mini sequel will show what some of the characters are up to now, but plotlines have been kept strictly under wraps.

Emma Thomson confirmed that she would not be reprising her role as Karen, out of respect for her co-star Alan Rickman, who tragically died last year.

“It’s too soon. It’s absolutely right because it’s supposed to be for Comic Relief but there isn’t much comic relief in the loss of our dear friend, really, just over a year ago,” she told the Press Association. “We thought and thought [about it] but it just seemed wrong. It was absolutely the right decision.”

The Love Actually short film will air on Red Nose Day on BBC One on Friday, March 26.
