Will Harry Styles Survive Nolan’s Dunkirk?

Christopher Nolan’s Dunkirk is a film that is gathering momentum in a big way, and with the Dark Knight director at the helm, and a cast boasting of Sir Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Tom Hardy and Mark Rylance, it’s not hard to see why. But the real surprise came in the form of the announcement that teen-heartthrob and former One Directioner Harry Styles will be taking his first steps into the world of Hollywood.

Shorn of his signature curly locks, the scope of Harry’s involvement in the film had been kept quiet before the first official trailer was released on Wednesday. It appears the popstar-turned-actor will take an integral part in the action, with the 22-year-old featuring prominently throughout the trailer.

At one point, the singer – who is set to release solo material in 2017 after the breakup of One Direction – is seen underwater, gasping for air, causing fans to question whether Harry will be one of the unlucky soldiers who doesn’t survive until the end of Nolan’s epic.
