The Real John Lewis Advert Is Here

It’s been quite a topsy-turvy year, and many people were hoping in the lead up to the new John Lewis Christmas advert that 2016’s offering would be the biggest, best and most heart-warming yet.

John Lewis, for their part, did not disappoint.

Starring Buster the Boxer dog, the new ad eschews the tugging on the heart-strings that their recent festive shorts have always attempted for a fun-filled frolic complete with trampolining foxes, badgers, hedgehogs and squirrels.



The genuine ad comes a few days after an A-level student’s media coursework was taken up by the internet as the much-awaited John Lewis film – the student behind that video was offered a chance by the famous retailer to go behind the scenes and check out the making of Buster the Boxer’s Christmas commercial.

It might just be the tonic we needed during the dark days of 2016 – or it might just be the catalyst every single British child needs to name their new puppy Buster this Xmas…
