Hiddleston for Bond Campaign Heats Up

As the Daily Mail reports that current incumbent Daniel Craig has turned down a multi-million pound offer to do two more Bond films, bookmakers are starting to suspend betting on The Night Manager's Tom Hiddleston taking over as the iconic 007...

A new report in the Daily Mail is suggesting that current 007 Daniel Craig has turned down a monster pay-cheque of £68m to star in two more Bond films, leaving the path open for bookies’ favourite Tom Hiddleston to take over the iconic role.

Craig, who apparently said he would rather self-harm than take on the mammoth task of any more Bond instalments, had already apparently “told people after shooting Spectre that this would be his final outing” alleges the Mail source.

“They threw huge amounts of money at him,” said the un-named insider, “but it just wasn’t what he wanted.”

Recently, one bookmaker suspended betting on Hiddleston replacing Craig in the driver’s seat of Bond’s iconic Aston Martin after a large bet was placed. There have also been rumours that Hiddleston met Bond director Sam Mendes at a secret London location to talk about the Thor star taking over the helm.

Hiddleston recent turn as a spy in the BBC espionage thriller The Night Manager has only intensified rumours that the Cambridge-educated heartthrob will become the eighth British actor to take on the famous role, beating a plethora of other British actors to the job.
