Category: Runner's World magazine subscription

Runners looking for ways to shave time off their personal bests should head straight for the latest edition of Runner's World.

The January 2010 instalment offers 24 tips to improve race performance having consulted experts in the field.

Long-time running enthusiast Mark Bittman also offers assistance in this area, with the author of Food Matters giving insight into his culinary philosophy.

Specifically, Mr Bittman hopes to transfer his knowledge of creating tasty meals which also help to keep the body fuelled for a run.

Meanwhile, Olympic athlete Jo Pavey has created a bespoke workout for runners keen to train like a professional.

The programme is designed to improve the form, endurance and speed of those brave enough to take up the challenge.

Pavey won a silver in the 5,000m at the 2006 Commonwealth Games and finished 12th at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing, where she ran a personal best time of 31:12.30.
