If you’re going to take fitness advice from anyone, we think that Louis Smith is certainly the perfect candidate. After all, the gymnast has picked up medals at the two biggest athletic events in the past 5 years – the Olympics!
It’s a good job that that’s exactly what you’ll get in the April issue of Men’s Health then, as those of you with a subscription to the magazine will have already discovered.
Speaking about his intense regime, Smith says: "Some days after training you wake up and you feel like you can't move. I love that feeling. You just get back in the gym the next day and do it all again. Then you wake up the next day and you're feeling even worse. And you do it again. But after about a week-and-a-half your muscles will start to repair, your diet will kick in and your body adapts.”
He reveals that gymnastics alone doesn’t get him to his fitness peak. "Gymnastics keeps you supple, flexible and strong,” he explains. “The only thing you don't really get is endurance, so I've just bought an exercise bike for my room, which I'm on quite a bit."
Read all of Smith’s advice in the April issue, before you subscribe and save on a Men’s Health magazine subscription today.
