Title: Golf Monthly
Seasoned golfers will know just how valuable having a good punch shot can be and Golf Monthly has given tips on improving the skill.
It explained that being able to punch the ball effectively with the club becomes extremely important in windy conditions.
The magazine suggested that those who wish to improve should aim to drive down through the ball and create a divot, with commitment an important factor.
Narrowing your stance and moving the ball back from centre will help de-loft the club, saving you from closing the face, the publication stated.
"The key to this shot is to keep your hands ahead of the club head, exactly as they were at address, through impact," it added.
Getting the yardage right can be tricky at first as lowering the flight will add distance to the shot, but Golf Monthly suggested that practice makes perfect.
The publication recently published photos from the Castle Stuart golf day, where its readers and forum members headed for a day of fun.
