Fans of the countryside who have a Horse and Hound magazine can read how the publication is backing jockey AP McCoy to be named this year's BBC Sports Personality of the Year.
It is calling for all the avid readers of the magazine to vote for the sportsman in his quest to win the coveted title this weekend.
McCoy is competing against cyclist Mark Cavendish, diver Tom Daley, athlete Jessica Ennis, boxer David Haye, golfer Graeme McDowell, cricketer Graeme Swann, darts player Phil Taylor, golfer Lee Westwood and Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams, to win the accolade.
Only three equestrians have ever won the award, according to Horse and House magazine, David Broome in 1960, Princess Anne in 1971 and Zara Phillips in 2006.
"It's great to have made the final 10 — that's a compliment in itself, particularly as so few jockeys have been shortlisted in the past," McCoy told Horse and Hound magazine.
"I am getting great support from racing and the horseworld, which has been very flattering. Obviously Don't Push it winning the Grand National for me has been hugely influential."
