We have some news that those of you with a Tennishead magazine subscription will be interested to know… After seeming to be unstoppable for the majority of 2011 and the beginning of 2012, having won the US Open, Wimbledon and 2 Australian opens, Novak Djokovic has finally been beaten – by none other than our favourite British tennis player, Andy Murray!
Murray beat Djokovic in straight sets, with a final score of 6-2 7-5 to Murray, meaning he’s now in the Dubai Championship final tomorrow, against either Roger Federer or Juan Martin del Potro (depending on who wins the match today). We hope that this is a sign of good things to come for Murray’s 2012 season! Dare we hope… Olympic Gold?
