All Out Cricket magazine has drawn comparisons between Owais Shah and Mark Ramprakash in an in-depth look at the former's career.

Among the similarities are both players' undoubted gift and potential that was evident from a young age.

However the publication notes that both were held back from fulfilling their international prospects by a combination of inability to rise to the big occasion and poor management by England's selectors.

Shah was left out of the one-day side to travel to South Africa, with All Out Cricket suggesting this may mark the end of the 30-year-old's international career.

Despite scoring more runs, more 50 plus scores and more sixes than any other player in the squad, Shah was not taken on the trip south.

The magazine laments the fact that both he and Ramprakash may go down in history as a "tragic waste of talent".

Also in the latest edition of All Out Cricket is an interview with England's Matt Prior, who spoke to Jim Hindson.ADNFCR-2767-ID-19507298-ADNFCR
