Being a company that sells magazine subscriptions you won’t be surprised to hear that we get plenty of magazine subscriptions delivered to our office. Of course, once we’ve read them they’re not much use to us anymore, so rather than having an exceptionally heavy recycling bag every month we decided there was a much better use for them – donate them to Chelsea & Westminster Hospital’s Children’s Play Service.
Hospital Play Team Manager Rachel Fitzpatrick and her colleagues provide children with essential support whilst they cope with hospital life. Children who are ill or injured spend weeks, months or even years coming in and out of the hospital - as do their parents, so having something to read through whilst in the waiting room (for however long that may be) can be a great help.
Stressed and worried parents could certainly do with a relaxing and easy read, after all, there’s no better way to take your mind off things than by reading a great magazine from cover to cover!
There are all sorts of gems in our boxes, including women’s fashion and lifestyle, science and technology, travel, food and general interest magazines – so there’s something for everyone.
