Woman’s Weekly celebrate their 100th birthday!

Woman's Weekly publish their 100th issue!

Today is Woman’s Weekly magazine’s 100th birthday. The magazine was first printed back on 4th November 1911 and here they are a century later and still one of the most popular weekly women’s magazine subscriptions available.

The publishers of Women’s Weekly magazine have commemorated the special occasion by releasing a 100th issue special bumper edition. The special issue will feature the first ever magazine in its entirety as well as 132 pages on what has made Women’s Weekly magazine the iconic read that it is today.

Speaking of the magazine’s birthday, Woman’s Weekly editor Diane Kenwood says: “When she launched the magazine, my original predecessor set out a clear vision which stated: ‘I say frankly that the women of Mayfair and the lady who lives in the castle are not catered for in this paper. But the women who lives in the villa or the cottage, in a large house or a small house, the woman who rules the destinies of the home, is going to be helped in her life, her work and her recreation by this journal’. Remaining faithful to this original blueprint has been the core principle of the magazine for the past 100 years and is, I firmly believe, the reason why it remains the number one best seller in its market."

Of course, those with a Woman’s Weekly magazine subscription are always the first to receive the latest issue, so will be the first to receive the special edition.
