Wanderlust travel magazine subscription holders may be interested to hear that an eco tourist could face jail in India over his possession of a satellite phone.
According to the magazine, anti-terror laws in the country mean those who own such a device are required to have a permit.
However, a lawyer working on behalf of Andy Pagnacco, who is attempting to drive around the world in his vegetable oil-powered bus, failed to find a government department which issues the consent forms.
The Englishman had been incarcerated for a week and could face trial over the incident, but explained that he meant to harm and is certainly not a threat to national security.
"I only brought the sat phone because I was worried about kidnappings by terrorists in Pakistan. I haven't used it at all in India," he told the magazine.
He is now out on bail, but admitted he was terrified at the prospect of going back to Ajmer Prison.
The latest edition of the magazine includes features on Thailand, Iran, Zanzibar and the world's ten wildest cities.
