If you have a Brides magazine subscription then you’ll be receiving the May/June issue any day now.
As well as the usual features and photography that provide the perfect inspiration for brides-to-be, you’ll also find a photo shoot and interview with Olympic cyclist Victoria Pendleton, who is getting married in September.
Speaking about her wedding dress, she says: "I thought I’d want a low-back bias cut in a simple fabric but it showed every lump and bump, and didn’t make me feel feminine or beautiful. So I’ve gone for a gorgeously understated dress with a vintage lace overlay."
If there’s anyone worth taking advice from on how to achieve the perfect body for your big day, it’s Victoria. She says: "The only way to get a slim waist and flat stomach is to reduce your body fat through sensible eating and cardio exercises like spin classes, cycling and running – combined with resistance work like Pilates. To define your stomach after that, you’ll need to target your core; the set of muscles around your waist."
