The Scots magazine gets a redesign

The Scots magazine - one of the oldest magazines in the UK - gets a redesign.

If you have a subscription to The Scots magazine, then you’re going to notice quite a difference when your next issue arrives.

The magazine has been published for 274 years, but the publishers decided that now was the time for a little change, the biggest being the actual size of the magazine – it has gone from A5 to B5 (that’s slightly taller and wider for those of you who don’t know paper sizes off the top of your head!).

The layout has also been slightly improved, which the publishers say brings “class and simplicity to its stunning photographs and quality editorial”.

Editor-in-Chief Sally Hampton said, “The Scots Magazine has been redesigned for today’s audience. The striking new look comes after an extensive programme of research into the interests and lifestyles of contemporary Scots. Close collaboration between our editorial and design teams has produced a magazine that’s both clean and classic, and allows us to showcase the best that Scotland has to offer. I’m absolutely delighted with the results and thrilled to have such high-profile interviewees as Brian Cox and Ricky Ross.”
