GQ magazine subscription holders may be interested to know that former Guns N Roses guitarist Slash has told the publication that he will never return to the band.

He revealed that the group was once offered $100 million (£61 million) to reform but that the idea was rebuffed due to the lack of harmony among the members.

The 44-year-old told the magazine that it was likely that either he or former band mate Axl Rose would die before a reunion occurred.

"Things were so abrasive by the time I left," he told GQ. "I've never thought, 'Oh, wouldn't it be nice to get back together'. Because I know it wouldn't."

He said that it is sad that "something so good doesn't exist anymore", as he and Rose were a good combination on stage.

However, it was their relationship off stage that caused the band to split up, with the guitar legend claiming they could not even stand to be in the same room together.

Eagles of Death Metal frontman Jesse Hughes has often told the story of how his band were fired from the Guns N Roses tour when Axl Rose announced it on stage after their performance.
