It’s sad when any magazine announces that they are to cease publication, but it’s even sadder when it’s a magazine that we know our customers love – like Easy Living magazine.
The publishers of the magazine announced today that the magazine will no longer be available in print but will continue on in a digital format, which means you can still read it – you just can’t hold it in your hands anymore.
The team have decided that in order for them to continue, they will need to focus solely on producing a digital magazine as the number of readers using iPads and e-readers to read the magazine has greatly increased.
“It is a sad decision to have to take, but we see few encouraging signs in this part of the market, with challenges at newsstand and an increasing reliance in the sector on multi-bagged offerings. Easy Living’s print edition has a significant loyal fan base and subscriber base whom we will be reluctant to disappoint, and a particularly talented editorial and publishing staff. However, our digital reach far outweighs that of print, and Easy Living is thriving online,” said Nicholas Coleridge, the MD of Condé Nast Publications.
