Permaculture on tour and in tune with Neil Young

"The Monsanto Years"

World renowned singer, songwriter and activist Neil Young invited Permaculture onto his recent US tour to promote his new album, The Monsanto Years.

The album covers various environmental and human issues, from climate change and social justice, to renewable energy and ocean conservation. Young took a ‘Village’ of six tents on tour. Each tent focussed on different issues and the ‘News You Can Trust’ tent, featured Permaculture. There were free print and app copies of the magazine available to those attending and there was also a permaculture ‘ambassador’ at each of the shows (these were chosen after putting the word out on Permaculture's 250,000+ Facebook site), to answer questions from those interested and to see Young perform.

The new issue of Permaculture, issue 85, features Neil Young on the cover and exclusive photographs and a tour and album review inside. "The team here at Permaculture were thrilled by this opportunity, he really has put Permaculture before a whole new audience” says Permaculture editor Maddy Harland "and we are so pleased that musicians such as Neil Young feel as strongly as we do about such these vital issues”.

Permaculture offers practical solutions for self-reliance via a positive, ‘can-do’ attitude.
