Back in 2011, Lulu featured on the cover of Good Housekeeping, having just been booted out of Strictly Come Dancing. Over 12 months later and the star is gracing the cover of the May issue and it seems that her stint on Strictly is still playing on her mind…
Speaking about the experience, she says: “I thought it was just going to be fun, and some of it was, but physically it nearly killed me.”
“On Strictly you are in a bubble – they all take it very seriously, so I took it seriously too,” she adds. “I worked with someone with whom I wasn’t really compatible, so that was very hard. You have to step back and laugh at yourself - I think that attitude saved me when I was voted out.”
