Lonely Planet magazine gives holiday ideas

Lonely Planet magazine subscription holders have been given a plethora of travel ideas.

Category: Lonely Planet magazine subscription

Brits searching for travel advice need look no further than a Lonely Planet magazine subscription, with the publication recently constructing a list of ten easy trips within the UK and Europe.

The breaks are designed to capture the imagination without breaking the bank or ending up missing out on visiting at the best time.

First on the list is a trip straight to the edge of the continent - Sao Miguel in the Azores.

The largest island in the archipelago, Sao Miguel is located 1,000 west of Lisbon, Portugal, and is great for hiking in autumn.

Volcanic steam fields, floral landscapes and cliffs over the ocean are all part of the scenery, the magazine explained.

The issue also looks at Cuba and how it is changing or, more appropriately, resisting changes that have taken place elsewhere in the world.

Cuba is located in the Caribbean, due south of Florida and north of the Cayman Islands.
