She may be in just about every magazine these days, but you wouldn’t be alone at being shocked to find Lena Dunham in the latest issue of Playboy.
The creator and star of the hit American series Girls, doesn’t fit the usual stereotype of a Playboy girl – but we wouldn’t have thought that would ever stop her, and let’s face it, we’ve probably seen more of her body than any Playboy bunny, anyway.
The actress/director seems to be completely comfortable in her own skin, which is evident from her lack of self-consciousness. “Not being the babest person in the world creates a nice barrier,” she says. “The people who talk to you are the people who are interested in you. It must be a big burden in some ways to look that way and be in public. That said, of course, I probably would want to see if I could get free food at restaurants.”
However, the clothing question clearkly irks her during interviews: “If I could abolish one question, it would be ‘Why are you naked on TV so much?’ I don’t know. Use your imagination.”
