Julia Bradbury is leaving Countryfile

Julia Bradbury has announced that she will be leaving BBC's Countryfile to work on a new ITV show about camping.

If you have a BBC Countryfile magazine subscription then we’re sure you’re a big fan of the television show too, so uou may be saddened to hear that presenter Julia Bradbury, who has worked on Countryfile for almost five years, has decided to leave the show.

Bradbury will be instead move to a new ITV show about camping in Britain. Speaking to HELLO! magazine, Bradbury said it was an opportunity she couldn’t turn down and meant she couldn’t continue on the BBC show.

“I go camping on screen and wake up at 6am and people see me peeping out of a sleeping bag wearing a beanie, so it's not about looking glamorous and young,” she told HELLO!. "[It was] something I couldn't afford to turn down at this stage in my life and career. I've been heavily [involved] in the development of this one, so it's very close to my heart."

Julia will be replaced with a new presenter when the time comes.
