After many celebrities give birth, their figures seem to snap back to the pre-baby body in no time and when asked what they’ve done they usually say something like, “oh, just running around after the baby all day”. Lies.
In the September issue of Women’s Health, Jessica Alba is much more honest about how she regained her figure. “After both pregnancies, I wore a girdle!” she confesses. “People have been doing it for years. And, let's face it, I don't have the body of a 14-year-old anymore. I think the more we try not to have that unrealistic ideal, the happier we'll be."
She adds: "Becoming a parent was the most profound experience I've ever had and I felt an intense responsibility to create a safe environment for my family."
Alba by no means claims to be a goddess either and says that her fitness has take a bit of a slide since becoming a mother. "I have a brutally short attention span,” she says. “It means I'm useless at working out. I get so bored. I have cellulite and stretch marks – and I have a muffin top!"
Ah, a woman after our own heart!
