Jane Seymour on growing old gracefully

Jane Seymour speaks to Good Housekeeping about how to feel good when growing older.

Jane Seymour looks fantastic for her age, you just have to look at the March issue of your Good Housekeeping magazine subscription to see that.

She’s now 61 and at her age, many actresses are resorting to surgery to help stave off the ageing process, however, Jane’s not so keen on the idea.

“I keep seeing people who just don’t look like themselves any more,” she says. “I don’t think of myself as being particularly beautiful – I think of myself as a human being, and I like the idea of looking like me and being able to move all my facial muscles!”

She prefers simpler methods when it comes to making her feel better about herself when she’s having an off day. Her tip... “If I’m not feeling great and I have to go out I’d probably put a red dress on. When in doubt, wear something red, gold or sparkling!”

Seymour adds: “But I think beauty comes from the inside out. When you feel comfortable in your skin, you exude confidence. And the older you get, the more confident you are, because you’ve experienced lots of life and you’ve got more perspective.”
