Happy 125th Birthday National Geographic

The National Geographical Society mark their 125th anniversary with a special issue.

Reaching triple figures is impressive enough, but stick another quarter of a century on to that and you become amazing – and that’s what the National Geographical Society are celebrating this month!

First began on 13th January 1888 the National Geographical Society was founded as a small group of scientists who wanted to “to increase and diffuse geographic knowledge”. It has since gone on to become one of the biggest organisations in the world, bringing people information and photography relating to science and nature that wouldn’t otherwise have been available to them.

In the latest issue of Nat Geo magazine you’ll find a look back at their impressive history and amazing images that have been captured over the past 125 years.
