GQ speaks to Mad Men creator ahead of fourth season

Viewers who have been glued to the first three seasons of Mad Men are sure to be looking forward to the fourth.

The return of the fantastic Mad Men to our screens is sure to be greeted with absolute delight from many viewers who have become hooked on the show's sharp-suited, hard-drinking nature.

And following the sophisticated premiere of the fourth season in Los Angeles, GQ got to speak to the man behind the phenomenon.

GQ reports that Mathew Weiner, the show's creator, believes that the soundtrack plays a key role in the programme's success.

"So much of the music of Mad Men is stuff that I have collected throughout my life - there were some songs that I thought were very popular and overused, but it turns out that no one knows them," Weiner told the news provider.

Weiner added that he hopes to use some Beatles music in the future, but the expense of the fab four's back catalogue could prevent it from happening.

Mad Men is set in the 60s and follows the lives of characters in and around the fictional Sterling Cooper advertising agency.
