GQ eats at Robert and Louise's

GQ managed to battle its way to a table at a popular Parisian bistro and was glad that it did.

GQ magazine has reviewed and praised a Parisian restaurant it claims is "worth scrapping for".

Located on Rue Vieille-du-Temple, Robert and Louise's is a tiny bistro in the French capital's Marais area.

It is regularly rammed full of tourists due to the reputation it has built up over three decades of business.

However, GQ recommends trying to book a table - although it may be advisable to take a Frenchman along just to make sure the reservation has not been 'lost'.

Rather than serving over-the-top fancy food, the eatery has built its name on offering fine traditional cuts of steak, cooked over coals and at reasonable prices.

The magazine explained that the meat offers a little bit of bite that makes it more satisfying than the "too-tender pieces of ponce" served in London restaurants.

"Huge plates of filet de bouef - saigant- cooked with red onions soaked in house red wine and served with just-right roasted rosemary and garlic potatoes" await anyone lucky enough to find a table at the popular French food house.

Other popular places to visit in the French capital include the Eiffel Tower and The Louvre.
