Gordon Brown tops GQ worst-dressed list

Prime minister Gordon Brown has topped a GQ magazine list of the worst-dressed men in the world.

British prime minister Gordon Brown has been rated higher than his French counterpart Nicolas Sarkozy in one opinion poll.

Unfortunately for the Scot, it is the worst-dressed man of the year survey conducted by the UK edition of GQ magazine.

The Labour leader was top of the list, with the rest of the top five being made up of comedian Russell Brand, Sarkozy, mayor of London Boris Johnson and the entire Top Gear team.

Commenting on Prime Minister Brown's dress sense, the magazine said he is "anything but a prime example of British style".

GQ also described former Conservative MP and mayor of London Boris Johnson as being "Charlie Chaplin ... with a touch of Laurel and Hardy - more Hardy than Laurel".

In a further blow to Brown, rival David Cameron was named the eighth best-dressed man on the GQ magazine list.

Take That, Daniel Craig and Arctic Monkey's singer Alex Turner also made it into the top ten.

In other news, Glamour magazine has officially revealed that poorly-dressed Russell Brand seems to have snared himself a pop princess by becoming engaged to Katy Perry.
