Fitness buffs with a Men's Health magazine subscription can find out why they shouldn't feel guilty about eating doughnuts.
While it's obviously not a fitness staple, everyone should be able to have a few sweet treats every now and again, athlete or not.
According to a study published in the Journal of Neuroinflammation, scientists have found dunking doughnuts in coffee can help reduce the risk of Alzheimer's Disease, reports Men's Health magazine.
Caffeine protects the blood-brain barrier, responsible for regulating circulation in the vital organ, from the effects of the doughnut.
Study author Jonathan Geiger said "high cholesterol is a risk factor for Alzheimer's", but caffeine reduces the effects.
According to the Alzheimer's Society, the disease is the most common cause of dementia.
In the UK, around 465,000 people suffer from the condition, which affects the brain, leading to the death of cells in the grey matter.
It's a progressive illness, meaning it damages more and more of the brain over time.
