If you have a subscription to The Daily Mail & The Mail on Sunday newspapers you’ll have received the latest copy of You magazine, which features an interview with supermodel/actress/presenter/judge Elle MacPherson, who is also known as The Body.
The Australian spends much of her time judging aspiring supermodels on Britain and Ireland’s Next Top Model, which has become just as popular as Tyra Banks’ America’s Next Top Model. However, she admits that now she’s older, she just takes things easier and only does what she wants to do. “For me it’s about having fun,” she says. “This is fun, filming and producing Top Model is fun, the fashion industry is fun, and how cool to be 49 years old, sticking on a bikini and messing around with a guitar? It’s about celebrating life.”
She hasn’t lost her love of modelling though. “Fashion shoots are always a bit magical – you can never predict the outcome,” she says. “Sometimes I come with an idea, but often the result is completely the opposite. My team and I know what we want to see but we are flexible enough to allow things to unfold.”
