Becoming a mother changed the way in which Catherine Zeta-Jones viewed her Hollywood career, it has been revealed.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Candis magazine, the Oscar-winning actress claims that following the birth of her two children she became extra picky about the roles she accepted.
"My attitude to my career has changed completely," she explains. "I'm still an actress, of course, but these days, I'm an actress second and wife and mother first.
"The time I have with my kids is just so precious and it goes by so fast - I know I'll never have it back, and I want to make the very most of enjoying it."
Indeed, it has been three years since her last major role and Zeta-Jones is currently promoting her latest film, The Rebound.
Meanwhile, fans of her films will be pleased to know that she remains passionate about acting, although only scripts which inspire her will "take me out of an environment that is precious to me".
