Autumn/winter fashion set for simple look

Cosmopolitan magazine has suggested that the big fashion trends this autumn and winter will be fairly simple.

A leading women's magazine has suggested that fashion will take on a classic and simple look over the autumn/winter 2010 season.

According to Cosmopolitan, the designer collections could have a large impact on high street looks later in the year.

Fashion director Shelly Vella explained that this could lead to some exciting prospects during autumn and winter.

"The big braniac designers are really thinking and considering the simple pieces and giving them a bit of a twist," she noted.

The expert added that Chloe, Stella McCartney and Celine are just some of the names that are making good use of the colour camel - something the Vogue autumn/winter 2010 trend report also agrees with.

Ms Vella said that "grown-up brands" such as French Connection will soon be selling some "really, really beautifully-made pieces".

Another trend that is likely to occur is that the throwaway culture is likely to disappear from the high street and that customers are might soon opt for longevity once more, the fashion director predicted.
