If you have a Cake Craft and Decoration magazine subscription then we’re sure you’ve made some pretty spectacular baked creations over the years, but whatever you’re proudest baking achievement may be, we’re afraid it won’t beat this...
A team of 90 patissiers and students at a confectionary college in Tokyo worked together to create the world’s longest roll cake, coming in at a whopping 130 metres.
The giant cake used a very impressive 54kg flour, 43kg sugar and 2,682 eggs, before being topped off with 100kg of whipped cream, 10kg of sugar, 45g of gold powder and has today been declared the world’s longest roll cake by Guinness World Records.
The previous record holding cake measured up at 115.09m and was made in Japan back in 2011.
We can only imagine how long the next one will be!
