Good Housekeeping tells us to how feel good

Fern Britton and Zoe Ball tell Good Housekeeping magazine how they get their feelgood moments.

Who doesn’t love a feelgood moment? No one, that’s who! If feelgood moments are a little too rare in your life, then be sure to check out the June issue of Good Housekeeping magazine which focuses on being happy without being perfect and also catches up with five busy women – in the form of Zoe Ball, Fern Britton, Hermione Norris, Kate Humble and Barbara Taylor Bradford – to find out what they do to feel good.

Fern Britton says that she is more confident now than she’s ever been and it’s because she takes more care of her body now, though she says feeling good is not all about how you look. “As you get a little bit older, you get more confident in who you are rather than how you look,” she says. “And when you’re in your fifties, as I am now, confidence is to do with feeling good about yourself.”

Zoe Ball gets her feelgood moments by ensuring she has lots of fun in her life. “One of my favourite things to do is to whack the music on and have a dance,” she says. “A couple of weeks ago a friend came over, and I pulled out all our favourite old records – we danced like we were in a club and got really sweaty!” It probably helps that her husband is a ‘superstar DJ’ then!

She adds: “Having the sea right on my doorstep is a big mood booster, too. I feel very lucky to live right on a beach in Hove. When I’ve had one of those days, I step out there and just breathe in and out.”
