Attending Fashion Week would be a dream come true for the majority of the female population – especially those of you with Vogue magazine subscriptions.
Whether it’s in London, Paris, Milan or New York, getting a first look at the new collections from the world’s greatest designers would be pretty exciting. That’s not even including the celebrities you’re sure to spot and the glamorous after parties.
Sadly, Fashion Weeks are notoriously difficult to get into and the after-parties even more so, but Vogue have found a great way to bring Fashion Week to you. They’re going to host their own.
Vogue.com will be holding their first online Fashion Week, featuring collections from the high street as well as independent retailers - which means you may even have a chance of being able to afford something you spot.
The event will run from 5th-9th December, at prime Christmas shopping time and the perfect timing for all the Christmas and New Year’s parties you have to get dressed up for over the holiday season.
The editor of Vogue.com UK, Dolly Jones, hopes that the event will mirror the success of Vogue’s Fashion Night In which was held last November and managed to raise £40,000 for charity. They managed to get 200 retailers on board and are hoping for the same with this event.
"It is not just for big retailers, but independents too and, depending on how exciting their work is, we will give them more space. It is exactly like London Fashion Week online,” said Dolly Jones.
